We went to the “Meet PBS Kids” event at Veteran’s Park on Saturday… afterwards we stopped in at the Indiana War Memorial which has a museum inside. Here’s the photo album:

Carson’s Poppy got another year older last night… we had some friends over and got an “interesting” cake. Was a good time.
My condolences to the Wagner family on their loss…
Jacob turned one! Carson had a great time with the waterguns and water balloons.
This day in history
In the United States, Flag Day (more formally, National Flag Day) is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777.
In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; in August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.
Flag Day is not an official federal holiday, though on June 14, 1937 Pennsylvania became the first (and only) U.S. state to celebrate Flag Day as a state holiday.

Midland (“Midland” is not necessarily the same thing as “Midwest”) The default, lowest-common-denominator American accent that newscasters try to imitate. Since it’s a neutral accent, just because you have a Midland accent doesn’t mean you’re from the Midland.
